Starting from Left: Supreme Triad-Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva is a similar concept to the Christian Trinity.
Brahma- Son of the Supreme Being and is the creator. Brahma does not destroy what he creates.
Vishnu (top)-The preserver of the Universe. Vishnu’s other incarnations include Rama (left) and Krishna (right).
Shiva-The destroyer. Shiva rules change, cycles and phases.
From the left: Goddesses Triad-Sarasvati wife of Brahma, Laskhmi married to Vishnu and Durga wife of Shiva. The Goddesses Triad is revered equally to the Supreme Triad.
Sarasvati or Saraswati rules knowledge, learning and the arts. Her attributes are wisdom, intelligence, fortune, nourishment, contentment, splendor and devotion.
Laskhmi reincarnated with every Vishnu incarnation. She was also Sita (Rama’s wife) and Rukmini (wife of Krishna). Laskhmi is the Goddess of light, beauty, good fortune, wealth and signifies love and grace.
Durga-The mother of the Universe and killer of demons. Incarnations include Parvati, Ambika and Kali.
Ganesh-Son of Shiva and Parvati. God of Good luck; remover of obstacles.
Hanuman-Strength and Wisdom. Conqueror of demons. Friend of Rama and Sita. He helped Rama rescue Sita from Ravana.
